MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Works under the supervision of Director of Technical Services.
  • Responsible for timely, economical repair of aircraft using approved resources. 
  • Ensures proper use of the MEL (Minimum Equipment List) by authorizing MEL items and    monitoring these items for timely closure. 
  • Coordinates with System Operation Control the flow of aircraft scheduled to maintenance bases, and modifies the daily maintenance schedule in response to unscheduled maintenance events.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensures notification of management personnel in event of accident, incident, or irregular operation as required by current Company manuals and Company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technical Services.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must possess the ability to communicate clearly orally and written.
  • Must be able to use a personal computer for word processing and data input functions. 
  • Must be able to use Aircraft Maintenance Manuals weighing up to 25 pounds.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work is performed at a commercial airport Maintenance Hanger.
  • Requires contact with staff and business relationships including the FAA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent...or any combination of education and experience which enables one to perform the job functions.
  • Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license and have adequate training and professional experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays
  • Must be able to work extra hours when necessary.
  • Travel may be necessary. 
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
