PILOT/FLIGHT CREWMEMBER

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Works under the direction and supervision of the Chief Pilot in the Flight Operations division.
  • Maintain high level of knowledge in the following areas: Company Policy, Express Airlines GOM, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and other technical data appropriate to aircraft operations.
  • Conduct flight operations in strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain currency requirements with regard to medical, training, and hourly flight requirements.
  • Use superior judgment to conduct safe and efficient flights in company aircraft.
  • Maintain a high level of personal decorum, professional conduct and personal appearance.
  • Maintain awareness of crew legality requirements and ensure timely communication to Chief Pilot when status becomes in question.
  • Maintain constant communication with maintenance and dispatch personnel when conducting flights.
  • Provide crew communication reports and crew incident reports to the Chief Pilots office when required or requested.
  • Attend company training events to maintain currency.
  • Ensure that  passenger needs are met with regard to comfort and safety.
  • Provide constant informational updates to passengers.
  • Maintain complete approved company uniform as outlined in the General Operations Manual.
  • Maintain company materials and flight kit as outlined in the General Operations Manual.
  • Provide Chief Pilot’s office with any information regarding the safety of flight.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned from time to time.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.  Can involve long periods of sitting.  Must maintain a First Class Medical Certificate.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Airport operations in all types of weather.  Long periods of sitting with exposure to bright sunlight.  Airport ramp operations are noisy and can be hazardous without due caution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma. First Class Medical Certificate. Airline Transport Pilot certificate and type rating in company aircraft or commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings. Excellent interpersonal and cognitive skills.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
• 1000 hours total flight time (Preferred)
• 200 hours multi-engine time (Preferred)
• 100 hours instrument (max 20 hours simulator - Preferred)
• Part 121 Operation Experience (Preferred)
• Commercial pilot certificate with a multi-engine airplane and instrument rating
• ATP or ATP-Written
• Current First class medical with First Class Privileges
• Valid passport
• Valid driver's license
• FCC license
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum age 21
• High school diploma

• Memphis, TN. - Headquarters, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN., Detroit, MI.
• All initial training conducted in our state of the art Memphis Corporate Educational Center, including our three Level D Simulators
